It is insane how fast time flies – my baby girl turned two last week and it feels just like yesterday that I had her wrapped up in my arms as a sweet little newborn. Knowing she’s my last baby, it is difficult to accept that we are now completely out of the baby stage (I type this while holding back tears). But on the other hand, there is so much joy watching her grow into a determined, strong willed yet caring little person. Mixed emotions for sure!
The last few months has been crazy busy with family visiting, after school activities and three birthdays to celebrate in our household in June. We kept Anika’s birthday small this year, celebrating early with Nanna & Grandad while they were visiting and a second time on her birthday last weekend with Nannie & Poppel. There was lots of balloons, cake, presents and off key singing to be had!
To celebrate Anika’s birthday I had a little photoshoot in my home studio in Duffy. She is so full of energy and is super cheeky, but has such a big caring personality that shines through in the images. She absolutely loved the session and really put on a show for the camera! I really enjoy doing these little shoots with the kids on their birthdays, as it captures all the little quirks and personalities as they grow. The kids also really love to look back on their special birthday shoots and have a laugh!
Looking like an old hand at this parenting gig….. look at the crossed over feet!
With three older siblings it’s all about sharing and taking turns which isn’t always an easy thing to do, but clearly she’s all over it with Teddy.
